Why I write what nobody wants to read

I’m sorry but I won’t ask you to forgive me.
Sorry for talking back to the ailments of this society,
For writing and expressing my feelings about these controversies.

I am doing this not because it’s entertaining,
But because it’s painful for people like me, who can feel it.
Why do I have to sit back and do nothing, isn’t that disappointing?

If you think that this helps me to stroke my ego,
Or, I’m trying to publicize.
Then I’ll not deny, but I will say that I want to utilize, and
Reach the people, to make them feel, to do something good, something right.

Even if it’s just a little bit, it doesn’t have to be big,
But just a tiny effort from everyone who can understand it.
I may have done nothing right, but as a human being I want to do this,
To let people feel what I feel, to take a step towards goodness, with the power of our own will.

I know many writers who’s writings are generally controversial and get a lot of hate. This poem is for them who can relate. Hate shouldn’t stop you from writing for the causes you believe in.
